Mom & Tina’s Bakery Cafe was created by a mother and daughter duo who started cooking and baking as a family pastime. I can only think of how lucky we are that they decided to make a brick-and-mortar business out of it, otherwise we never would’ve tasted such delicious meals and sweets! Dining here is like eating at a nice home because of their homey interior design and light-colored furniture. My family loved the cozy atmosphere here so much that we stayed for more than an hour, even after finishing our food.

Aside from dining here, they also sell various pastries for you to take home, like cupcakes, cookies, cakes and more.

My sister, the girl wearing a green dress below, was browsing through their take-home products even though she’s not fond of sweets, unlike me! I literally crave for anything sweet everyday. (I’m actually eating a big tub of Stik-O right now.)

My first order was the Baked Chicken Macaroni (P150). This is macaroni noodles with chicken, tomato and a cheesy cream sauce. My sister, who really loves cheese, said she didn’t like the taste that much, something about the dish having an herbal taste. But I thought it was good, especially since it was so cheesy and creamy!

My little brother ordered the Lengua Con Setas (P435). It’s a dish with tender slices of ox tongue in mushroom sauce, served with mixed vegetables, mashed potatoes and rice. He spoke highly of the dish saying that the ox tongue was cooked right because it was so tender. I had a taste of it and I agree with him. I loved the mashed potatoes too!

For dessert, we decided to try their Mini Oreo Cheesecake and Mini Mango Cream Pie. I can’t remember the exact price, but it was around P150-P190. To be honest, I didn’t like the Mini Oreo Cheesecake at all. It kind of tasted bland, or like there’s something lacking in the taste. The chocolates on top of the cheesecake was not sweet at all. On the other hand, I loved the Mini Mango Cream Pie! The mango on top was a little sour though, but it was still still yummy. It was originally my sister’s order but she gave it to me after a few bites. Yehey!

Overall, I had a great experience here with my family! We would definitely return again and order some other dishes they have, like their bestseller Chicken Spinach Lasagna. :)

  1. Looks and sounds like an excellent bake shop; I could really use some of those delicious desserts right about now!

  2. The place really looks cozy, I also prefer that kind of restaurant. I love Lengua too but the price is too steep for me so I will just eat my Lengua at Contis. :)

  3. The food looks delicious it’s a shame that it didn’t all taste good. I hope the best seller tastes better.

  4. Can I just say that the Baked Chicken Macaroni and the Mini Oreo Cheesecake has got my tummy grumbling. Looks super yummy!

  5. This reminds me so much of childhood! We used to go here a lot when I lived in the Philippines. One of my faves, for sure!

  6. If that mini-oreo cheesecake is not that sweet, that’s more like for me. And if that shaved chocolates on top taste bitter-sweet, that’s really for me.

  7. How lovely! The food looks absolutely delicious! The chocolate pastry with the curled chocolate decoration on top looks immaculate and so inviting.

  8. I love the photos of this lovely bakery and cafe! The food looks so yummy! Really love the blog concept, too! I’d love to do a blog with my sister. :)

  9. I think there was just one time or two where I got to check out Mom & Tina’s Bakery. The place was homey enough and spacious. But I forgot what we ate that time since we were there for a gathering. That Mini Mango Cream Pie looked really tempting and it’s probably why you ordered one for you guys :)
