I can’t deny it. Steak is definitely one of my favorite food! I’ve tried a lot of different steak restaurants since I was a kid. Some of them were House of Minis, Fire Lake Grill, Steak Town, and Santis Delicatessen. I tried Melo’s Steaks for the first time a few days ago. I know it’s a widely-known steak house for years already, but I never really had the chance to eat there. Now that I have, I can honestly say that I love it to bits!

I dined in at the branch located at Burgos Circle, corner Forbestown Road, at Fort Bonifacio, Taguig. I wasn’t able to take a photo of the area but they have a nice ambiance there. It was elegant and relaxing, perfect for a romantic date. They have a fine dining table setup and the service was exceptional as well. The servers were very attentive to our needs and they would entertain our questions about their menu with a pleasing personality.

Below are the food we ordered:

First off, they serve you some bread while waiting for your orders. It’s nothing special, just plain bun breads. I’m not sure if you can ask for more buns, because I just ate one of the two breads they gave me. I don’t think it’s a good idea to eat it too much for appetizer.

Next was the Creamy Pumpkin Soup that came with the steak. I like the texture of the soup and the taste was satisfactory. I’d probably order the pumpkin soup again next time.

I ordered a Strawberry Shake to accompany my food. The shake was just the usual kind of shake that you’ll be able to order anywhere. It doesn’t have a distinct taste to it, but since it’s a steak house and not a beverage station, I think it’s acceptable as it is.

Next up is the pasta! I ordered the Pasta Carbonara because my companion was partly craving for some Italian cuisine. We were almost full when the pasta was brought to our table, so we weren’t able to enjoy it that much. However, the pasta was very creamy and it also tasted good! I was able to finish eating my share despite being full already. It has a pretty large serving because we had ours split into two.

Last but not the least is the steak itself! My companion and I both agreed to order the T-bone Steak. I forgot how heavy it weighed but the serving was really big. We had our steak split into two again and it was served with mashed potatoes and vegetable sidings. We had our steak medium well and it came out really good! The steak was soft and easy to cut. Some of the steak I’ve eaten were hard and bland, but the steak of Melo’s were juicy and you can really taste the beef all throughout! And even though the steak got a little cold at the end of the meal, it still had the same good quality as the newly-cooked one. It didn’t dry out like I expected it too. Definitely one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! I can already see myself going back there again!

The food was kind of expensive, but it was really worth our money! They had large servings anyway, so we could split almost all of the food into two. I forgot the exact amount of the bill but it was around ₱3,000+, inclusive of the BDO credit card discount.

  1. Wow, I have merely had my dinner and reading this post made me hungry again. We are actually riding in the same boat, cause I also love steak. You ordered a lot, it must be a very good beanery to try. I as well love how the food was being presented. Your dining experience says a lot of respectable things about this restaurant. I might consider dropping here when I get the opportunity.

  2. The steak really looks yummy. I would definitely be ordering the same should I wish to try the place. Too sad though the carbonara came in late. I dont like starting with my food without the other dishes as i feel bitin. But with the steak in front of you, who wouldnt be tempted to eat agad. Ihihi.

  3. Wow! That seems a nice place to go to! The food you ordered would really satisfy a hungry tummy. I hate having any food late especially if the appetizer is the one late. Haha! But that steak really is the one that has every bit of my attention. 😋

  4. I think there is Melo’s at Westgate Alabang if im not mistaken or somewhere there.. i would love to try their steaks.. its been a while since i last heard about this steak house and every time i plan to go there, my schedule wont permit or my appointments were out of way.. it looked so good!

Yeah, they have one branch at Alabang. It was my first time eating at Melo’s but their steaks are something I’ll return to again. :)

  5. It was a pretty expensive meal basing on the total amount you spent. But the steak really looks worth the price. I also love steaks and I get disappointed with restaurants who are not true to what they advertise that’s why I’m very cautious with trying out new steak houses or restos. I guess Melo’s Steaks are worth a try kasi nagustuhan mo yung steak nila! :D I hope someday I’ll be able to try it. It looks juicy and mouthwatering. Haha! Nakaka-gutom tuloy and post mo.

Haha yeah, it was really good! As for the price, I agree with you that it’s expensive. It was already a lot cheaper because of the BDO credit card discount they had that time. They have a large serving though. :)

  6. Arrgghh! I swear, Angus beef tastes DIVINE if cooked right. I first tasted Angus in Australia with the boyfriend, and it was completely savory. For around 3k, it’s not really a bad spend seeing as you enjoyed your meal and had a nice time! :) Nice pictures!

  7. Hmmmm, njam njam yummy :) I would have ordered exactly the same menu as it sounds delicious from starter to dessert. That steak looks so juicy, just scrumptious. Just looking at the photo already leaves me “mouth watered”, very good images!

  8. I’ve been to Melo’s before too and it really is expensive. My family and I who were eating there got so shocked when we saw the bill. I feel like that’s why I didn’t enjoy it that much. I mean, the food was okay. At least now next time we can be more careful in choosing, especially the steaks since it could be shared anyway :)

I thought it was expensive too, which is why I never ate at Melo’s until now. :) So when my cousin and I heard the BDO credit card promo they were offering, we thought it was a good chance to dine there. :D
