A few months ago, I had a simple Sunday date with my sister. I initially invited her out because I was hoping we could go to Red Box and sing some new songs, which we did. Yay! But besides that, it was also because I wanted to have dinner at Krazy Garlik. I used to pass by Krazy Garlik in Greenbelt 5 a lot of times before, but I never ate there because most of my friends don’t like garlicky food.

Before I start, I would just like to mention that Krazy Garlik is one of the restaurants from The Bistro Group. Some of my favorite restaurants from The Bistro Group includes TGI Friday’s, Italianni’s, and Bulgogi Brothers. I have yet to try Modern Shanghai and Village Tavern. On the other hand, my dining experience with Fish & Co. and Watami were rather average, but not bad. I really liked Tonkatsu by Terazawa as well.

The specialty of Krazy Garlik is the use of garlic in their food. Though I guess that’s already kind of obvious from the name of the restaurant. LOL.

krazy-garlik-beef-con-salsa-blancaWe ordered two main course dishes, and one of them is the Beef Con Salsa Blanca. The price and information about it is written in the menu above. My sister and I liked this dish but among all of our orders, this ranked the last from our favorites. The server suggested it to us so we gave it a try.

The second main course dish we ordered was their specialty Garlicky Crispy Pata. There are no words I can use to describe this except that it was definitely one of the best crispy pata I have ever eaten. We ordered the sharing size and we were able to finish it all, even though there were just the two of us eating it. I would definitely recommend this to any new or future customers of Krazy Garlik!

Next up is their Hara-Kiri rice to pair it with our main course dishes. We were really excited to try this out because it was their bestseller, and when we did, it exceeded our expectations. Take note, this is really spicy so I don’t think it’ll be a good choice to order for those who can’t tolerate spicy food. Aside from that, it is a very delicious dish. We’ll surely order it again on our next visit.

As for their drinks, I had a hard time choosing because I didn’t know which one would be to my liking. So my sister and I decided to pick Citrus Mint, a mix of dalandan and mint. Well, we weren’t disappointed with it. We couldn’t stop sipping it at all because it was so good!

If I remember correctly, Krazy Garlik used to have four branches — Promenade Greenhills, Greenbelt 5, Resorts World, and Alabang Town Center. I’m not really sure if the other branches are still open. My sister and I ate at the Greenbelt 5 branch. I must say, the food there were amazing and the service was great too! I would definitely dine here again next time!
