People who know me will tell you that I can never resist ice cream! So imagine how happy and excited I was when G9 Molecular Ice Cream finally opened in Lucky Chinatown Mall! I’ve been seeing their “opening soon” tarpaulin for weeks now and since I live close by, I would sometimes drop by just to check if they had already opened. If you’re a curious cat like me and you’re wondering what G9 means, it actually stands for Great9.

According to their website, G9 Molecular Ice Cream was first developed in Singapore until it spread throughout Asia, finally reaching Philippines this year. I’m not exactly sure but based on my research, the one in Lucky Chinatown is the first branch in our country. Their ice cream is made on the spot with fresh milk and fruits, and liquid nitrogen is used to change the fresh milk to ice cream.

They currently sell nine flavors of ice cream. I want to try Mango Yogurt, Strawberry Yogurt, Blueberry Yogurt, and Avocado Milk the most!

Aside from ice cream, they also sell pudding! (Sorry for the blurry photo. My hands were kind of shaky because I was carrying something.)

This is how it looks like when they are making your molecular / nitrogen ice cream!

I had a hard time deciding what to order because all of them looks really tasty! In the end, I went with Avocado Milk Ice Cream and Mango Pudding.

I really liked my Avocado Milk Ice Cream! It wasn’t too sweet and the texture was super nice! The best part of it was the waffle! It was thin which I think was the reason why it was so crispy. The Mango Pudding was also good and it even has small bits of mango inside. Just be sure to eat it right away, I ate mine at lukewarm temperature because I started with the ice cream first. I will surely return here again and again until I’ve tasted all their flavors! Well, except for durian milk because I don’t really like that fruit. LOL.

By the way, a new store called Mumuso also opened just recently at Lucky Chinatown Mall. It’s like the Korean version of the Japanese store Daiso. Check out my list of 8 cute things to buy in Mumuso!

I went back at G9 Molecular Ice Cream again and tried their Strawberry Yogurt and Blueberry Yogurt. All I can say is it was absolutely heavenly! I loved the strawberry yogurt so much that it is now officially my go-to flavor whenever I eat here. The blueberry yogurt was amazing as well, and it would’ve been ranked first in my favorites if it was just a little bit sweeter.

  2. There’s always something in ice cream that I always crave for it. I genuinely hope they would as well open a branch here in Cebu, so we can taste their inviting ice cream. The waffle looks so tempting as well. Thank you for letting us know about this one.

I totally cannot read ice cream. It’s my favourite. The pictures show how tasty the ice creams the pudding must have been.

  4. Looks delicious! I would love to try Avocado Milk. I won’t pass up Cookies and Cream either. If I find myself in that area will surely drop by for a visit.
