Coffee Habit: My New “Hole In The Wall” Café Find

Coffee Habit

Discovering Coffee Habit in a street we seldom pass by was a pleasant surprise. My mother, little brother, and I were driving my aunt home at around 9PM when we saw a single coffee shop in a road lacking of any establishments. The fact that it was literally the only coffee shop I saw there made it more interesting. My little brother and I managed to convince the adults to drop by Coffee Habit first since our aunt’s house was just on the other side of the street. Turns out that Coffee Habit only opened recently and they were still in their soft opening. That was around a month ago, I think? Anyway, I loved the simplicity of the coffee shop with their red and black theme. The interiors were not overbearing and loud, making it less stressful for the eyes.

What caught my eye was the collection of rubber shoes in the left side of the dining area. It makes me wonder if the owner of Coffee Habit is a basketball player or just someone who loves watching basketball games.

On the other hand, what caught my mother’s attention was this standee of President Duterte! She even pestered me to take a picture of her with it. Looking good there, Mr. President!

Moving on to the food! Before anything else, I actually forgot to note down the dishes we ordered and their prices, so I might get some of the names wrong.

Even though it was already late, I still ordered a dish full of carbs but still healthy, the Pasta al Pesto. The noodles was cooked al dente so it was firm to the bite, but I loved the taste of the pesto!

And then I paired it up with a Strawberry Milkshake. It was really good, especially since it has my favorite Stik-O!

My little brother ordered their pasta with tomato sauce. I remember it’s called Pasta Puttanesca, but I’m not so sure if I got the name right. Same with the Pasta al Pesto, it has al dente noodles but the sauce was a little salty. He originally wanted to order the Lechon Kawali, but we told him not to since it was so late already.

He ordered a Mocha Frappucino with his pasta. I actually really like the foam on top. I find it so fluffy and smooth!

In conclusion, even though they were still in their soft opening, they did very well! The staffs were very friendly and welcoming too. We were having trouble choosing what to order and the staff there patiently explained to us the different dishes. They have a lot of food that I wanted to try, like their rice dishes and burgers, so I’m sure I’ll return here again with my little brother!

I had to do a double-take when I saw Duterte there haha.. I thought you guys saw the president when you were there. Anyway, I am all for coffee shops that are not Starbucks, not that I’m hipster, just that I want to discover more cafes. It’s a life goal, really. This is a good find you got here and I like the name, Coffee Habit. I noticed you didn’t try their lattes though?

I don’t really drink coffee in the afternoon and at night because it makes it difficult for me to sleep, which I why I ordered their Strawberry Milkshake instead. I’ll try it next time if I can drop by for breakfast. :)

Howler, the coffee shop seems to be very cool and interesting. This will surely click to the people nearby since that’s the lone coffee shop there. I like the red and black themed on their ramparts. I’m a bit curious about the shoes displayed on the bulwarks too, have you get the chance to ask about it? The foods are tempting.

It’s nice to discover places like this, a hidden gem. I’d take a picture with Duterte, too! Are the prices alright here? Affordable? The frappes look delicious!

It’s not that expensive compared to the coffee shops you see in Makati. :)

Seems like a pretty cool place to visit. Glad you got to go and check it out for it’s soft opening. It seems more of a restaurant than a coffee shop though. They serve full meals which normally coffee shops don’t (at least in North America they don’t lol). That pasta looks delicious, too!

It can be a good business strategy for coffee habit, given that the establishment is the first one on the place. It’s my first time to see a coffee shop having shoes as the decor, looks like we have a shoe collector owner here. The standee takes away the political preference of the owner too. :) I always like Pesto pasta, and a lot of others do too I believe so that being on the menu is a great choice. I hope the prices are reasonable as well. :)

This is the first time that I encountered a coffee shop with rubber shoes. I’m a fan of places with a good interior, but this is something different. I’m interested in their other dishes, so I’ll be looking forward to your next visit. That Duterte standee is an interesting one. I’d probably take a picture with that too if I get to visit :)

Hmmm, I would love to see your review about their other dishes soon. Anyhow, the ambiance pretty looks interesting but it would be nicer only if the owner separates the shoes from the magazines, somehow. But nonetheless, it sure is attention catcher! the food, I envy the strawberry shake you have there. It looks yummy!

That Mocha Frappe looks so magical and the ambiance of the place really looks calming. Mocha is my favorite flavor so I would love to try that one! I started liking Pesto pasta when I first tasted it a few months back. I’m curious what Coffee Habit’s take on this is. I hope I get “lost” near the Manila area one day. There seems to be a lot of interesting food spots in that place.

Yep, the place does look nice. The colors and the interior give off the vibe that the place looks a bit serious. It’s actually nice that they have a good menu to order there. I hope I get to visit the place someday and see which coffee is their specialty.
