Discovering Coffee Habit in a street we seldom pass by was a pleasant surprise. My mother, little brother, and I were driving my aunt home at around 9PM when we saw a single coffee shop in a road lacking of any establishments. The fact that it was literally the only coffee shop I saw there made it more interesting. My little brother and I managed to convince the adults to drop by Coffee Habit first since our aunt’s house was just on the other side of the street. Turns out that Coffee Habit only opened recently and they were still in their soft opening. That was around a month ago, I think? Anyway, I loved the simplicity of the coffee shop with their red and black theme. The interiors were not overbearing and loud, making it less stressful for the eyes.
What caught my eye was the collection of rubber shoes in the left side of the dining area. It makes me wonder if the owner of Coffee Habit is a basketball player or just someone who loves watching basketball games.
On the other hand, what caught my mother’s attention was this standee of President Duterte! She even pestered me to take a picture of her with it. Looking good there, Mr. President!
Moving on to the food! Before anything else, I actually forgot to note down the dishes we ordered and their prices, so I might get some of the names wrong.
Even though it was already late, I still ordered a dish full of carbs but still healthy, the Pasta al Pesto. The noodles was cooked al dente so it was firm to the bite, but I loved the taste of the pesto!
And then I paired it up with a Strawberry Milkshake. It was really good, especially since it has my favorite Stik-O!
My little brother ordered their pasta with tomato sauce. I remember it’s called Pasta Puttanesca, but I’m not so sure if I got the name right. Same with the Pasta al Pesto, it has al dente noodles but the sauce was a little salty. He originally wanted to order the Lechon Kawali, but we told him not to since it was so late already.
He ordered a Mocha Frappucino with his pasta. I actually really like the foam on top. I find it so fluffy and smooth!
In conclusion, even though they were still in their soft opening, they did very well! The staffs were very friendly and welcoming too. We were having trouble choosing what to order and the staff there patiently explained to us the different dishes. They have a lot of food that I wanted to try, like their rice dishes and burgers, so I’m sure I’ll return here again with my little brother!
