Early 2016 Christmas at Bag of Beans, Tagaytay

Only 75 days left until Christmas!! Seriously, time flies so fast! It never actually occurred to me that the winter holiday is just a few months away until my family and I went to Bag of Beans, Tagaytay last Sunday for afternoon snacks. Apparently, Bag of Beans decided to skip Halloween and go straight to Christmas! Not that I’m complaining especially since they did their work really well! They already have an elegant Christmas tree and a bench for picture-taking inside their dining area. They even have a lot of beautiful Christmas decorations set up in one of their empty cabins where you’re free to enter and take pictures anytime. Trust me, that cabin was absolutely stunning! It’s like the Christmas-decorated houses you see in movies! Even my father who’s not fond of having his photo taken asked for someone to take a photo of us and kept telling me to take more pictures of the place. I already love Bag of Beans because of their heavenly hot chocolate and desserts, and now I’m falling even more in love!

I always used to drink their chocolate and coffee whenever I go here, so this time I wanted to try something different. I ordered their Strawberry Milkshake and a slice of Blueberry Cheesecake. The milkshake was really good, it was sweet but not too much. I think the Blueberry Cheesecake was rather average though. It didn’t exactly reach my expectations. But they were generous with their serving of blueberries.

My aunt ordered the Garden Fresh Salad with Balsamic Mustard. The vegetables were really fresh and the sauce of the salad was sour with a little hint of sweetness in it. My aunt and mom liked the sauce, but I prefer my salad with just plain Balsamic Vinegar.

We also ordered a Blueberry Pancake and a Country Breakfast. The Blueberry Pancake was good but my mom said that the mango slices were a little sour. I didn’t eat the mango slices so I’m not sure if maybe it’s just too sour for her taste. An order of Country Breakfast includes two buttermilk pancakes, two eggs, sausage, and bacon. This was one of my favorites! I’m a fan of breakfast meals so I tend to order them when available.

My little brother was feeling hungry so he went ahead and ordered a heavy meal, Baby Back Ribs to be precise. I had a taste of it and the meat was really tender! I also loved the mashed potato so much! I would’ve eaten it all if only my brother wasn’t looking.

My little brother then ordered a Caramel Macchiato for his drink. Cute latte artwork. :)

Now that we’re done with the food, let me show you some of the Christmas decorations they had set up! Starting with this super cute (but a little freaky) owl! Seriously, having this at home would creep me out at night.

This is how the cabin looks like on the outside. And that’s my dad trying to peek inside. He was getting really curious!

This is what he saw inside the cabin. He immediately called me and my little brother to show us his discovery!

The lamp post reminded me of the Duddell Street Steps and Gas Lamps at Hong Kong, so I wanted take a photo with it!

They even have this cool wooden motorcycle near the cabin! My little brother was joking around saying that it might be a Harley-Davidson. When my brother took a photo of me riding the bike, I was actually worried that it might break.

By the way, this is the Christmas tree that you’ll find inside the dining area.

That’s about it! This was probably the most fun experience I have in Bag of Beans. The people around us and those passing by kept looking at us because we were going crazy taking photographs. Even my grandfather rode on the wooden motorcycle and had my aunt take a photo of him! In the end, we left the place with happy tummies and full of smiles! I’m now super excited for Christmas! :)

I love Christmas! I’m now first focussing on Halloween (mainly halloween events). But then it’s Christmas time! When I studied, I used to work at the Christmas market in the place I live. The Christmas market was held in a marl cave. It was such an inspiring atmosphere. I really loved that. And of course listening to Christmas music all day! The wooden cabin looks cute! Bag and beans looks nice. The photos of the food look tasty!

I’m really excited for Christmas too! Too bad I can’t enjoy Halloween because ghost and all that paranormal things scares me! :(

TBH Bag of Beans don’t even need to put up decors. The place itself spells Christmas! Warm food, gathering of friends and family, plus overlooking view. Add the cold air, and it’s perfect. :)

It’s my first time seeing your blog. Are you new? If so, you did an excellent job in starting one. Your photos look great. And wow! It’s Christmas in Bag of Beans already. They did a great job in decorating the place. It’s good marketing strategy to attract more customers to dine with them.

Thanks! I’m glad to hear I’m doing something right with our blog! My sister and I started this blog just a month ago. The place is even prettier in actual, some of the photos lessened the desired ambiance of the decorations and lighting. :)

I love Bag of Beans Tagaytay so much and it brings out so much good memories. I’ve never been there though during Christmas so seeing your photos with the place full of decors was kind of “fun” to look at. Makes me want to invite my family to go there too for a breakfast but with the traffic here in Manila, it’s going to be a crazy drive. But really, hopefully I get to visit the place again soon. Before Christmas!? :)
